Doug Mitchell – “If you’re not findable online you’re invisible to me”
Doug is a 12 year tech start up veteran and is the founder of create WOW media in Des Moines, Iowa.
After spending the early part of his career in Enterprise Technology Sales, Doug took the leap into the start up world in 1999. Doug often remarks that, “Those 2.5 years in start up land were more valuable than 25 years in a cubicle.” During his last start up experience, Doug shed the daily grind of the Southern California lifestyle and moved his family to the heart of the Midwest, Des Moines, Iowa. There, Doug honed his network, flexed his online findability muscles, and launched his own company in 2005. In late 2007, Mitchell’s business morphed into createWOWmedia which provides online brand amplification for small and medium sized companies. create WOW brings together rapid WordPress based site deployment, training in “organic findability”, and multimedia expertise from its studio in Des Moines. Whether its training in becoming findable on the web, green screen video, or custom audio production, createWOWmedia is accelerating the success of small and medium sized firms around the nation.
